Santorini not only boasts of breathtaking views but produces a range of wines from 40 different indigenous grape varieties (though not all are cultivated). Famous for its Assyrtiko wine, the production process is rooted in the traditions of the island, with each winery offering a rich and storied history as well as a tasting experience. This tour takes you on a journey through the island that pairs picturesque views with exceptional quality wines. Wine cultivation on Santorini began with the Venetian occupation of the island; the Venetians adeptly understood that the mineral-rich volcanic soil of the island would yield the finest wines. You will tour 3 uniquely distinct wineries; we will travel across the island to experience the breadth of what Santorini has to offer in wine-making.

The main grape variety grown in Santorini is Assyrtiko, an indigenous white variety- one of the noblest in the Mediterranean. Assyrtiko is an excellent grape variety that can give many different products. Assyrtiko is almost 80% of the total wine production of Santorini’s vineyards. Along with the other two major white varieties of the vineyard-Athiri and Aidani- which produce the Appellation of the original Santorini Superior Quality white wine (P.D.O).

Art Space Winery Museum Art Gallery
Art Space is a unique Art Center within the pumice rock – carved chambers of an old winery located in Exo Gonia, Santorini and continues from the year 1999 until today to stand as a hospitable retreat for all those Greek and foreign artisans who share the same passion for creativity. In the 1861 old winery, representative works of art from the sphere of painting and sculpture are on display, offering visitors the opportunity to come close to contemporary Greek art and the course of artistic expression in Greece. What is more, Art Space Winery continues regularly the traditional winemaking production includes in its premises a contemporary winery offering renowned products of high quality.
Estate Argyros
One of the best wineries in Santorini, Estate Argyros offers a big variety of Santorini Wines. You will have the chance to taste 3 different types of wines.
Venetsanos Winery
Located in Megalochori, Venetsanos Winery has one of the best views on the island. Its the best spot to try local Santorinian Wine and see the sunset. The wine tasting includes 3 different type of wines.
Please note that depending on the availability of the wineries in the schedule one or more may change with Chatzidakis, Gavalas and Vassaltis wineries.
